Friends of Richmond Green

FoRG sucessfully lobbied Richmond Council to secure the up-grading of the network of paths on the Green. They have been widened, resurfaced with tarmac, edged with durable pre-cast concrete and re-cambered to prevent puddles after heavy rain. Finally, in harmony with the historic setting, they have been finishing with a layer of sealed Heritage gravel. Paths that previously were too narrow to permit comfortable passing – and frequently were totally impassable due to flooding – are now both fit for purpose and complimentary to the landscape.
