Past Events
The Coronation
A spirit of fierce determination and joy framed the Coronation celebrations held on Richmond Green on 6th May. Despite the seasonably terrible weather, rain did not stop play and the fantastic band led by talented Musician, Roger Perrin and his trainee musicians continued playing wonderful jazz tunes, whilst scones, pimms, quiche, cakes, biscuits and even a proper curry were shared amongst friends.
The celebration of the day saw over 80 neighbours of all ages gather together on the Green where they laid their food and drink on one large trestle table under the trees on the Western side, opposite Pembroke Villas. Bunting, gazebos and umbrellas staved off the light drizzle, creating an atmosphere of amusement and neighbourly conviviality…. and even dancing.
Many thanks to FoRG for organising – long live the King!
Sunday 5th June 2022 – THE BIG JUBILEE PICNIC LUNCH
The weather held out for us as we had a most enjoyable picnic on The Green. As we all know, sadly, HM Queen Elizabeth II passed away only three months later and we are all indebted to her incredible service to the country and Commonwealth. We have posted some photographs from the event as a reminder of a celebration of her remarkable life, take a look here!
